Mission and Vision
"The mission of the museum association is to collect, preserve, and share the history of the Northside Independent School District."
An important mission of Northside School Museum is to share Northside ISD's history with students and educators of Northside ISD, plus community organizations. Using primary and secondary sources, members of Northside School Museum will bring history to your school to show and demonstrate authentic artifacts and provide an interactive presentation with your students. Among the presentation topics, pertaining to the area of Northwest Bexar County, are Early Rural Schools ( the twelve schools that later became NISD}, Immigration, Hispanic History and Culture, Black History and Integration of NISD schools, Jose Antonio Navarro, and other historical topics that affected students of the past. To arrange for a presentation and to receive more information contact Maxine Bratton (Northside School Museum Clerk) at [email protected] or (210) 397-8599.
